I recorded Lonesome Billy back in the mid-1990s
with the guys now known as Calexico. We did it out at Wavelab
studio in Tucson, AZ. Great guys, great times, pretty good tunes.
I also recorded a record called Up Here, released in 2001. This
is a mostly acoustic, folky record that features my usual collaborators
Phil Aiken and Chris Toppin.
I have a new project by Ms. Toppin and myself finished
and
available for purchase called Show People.
This is
folky/country duet stuff that comes from the ideas started in
the late
great Bathing Beauties. Pick it up here at CD Baby.

I have written a book on the Rolling
Stones' Exile on Main St. for Continuum
Books' 33 1/3 series. You might know that Joe Pernice wrote on
Meat is Murder and Warren Zanes on Dusty in Memphis. While it is not
officially released yet, it can be pre-ordered on Amazon.com
Come to the book reading
April 21 at The Attic. It's put on by Newtonville Books and there
will be Stones covers by Bill and Crown Vic.
